چکیده
Most PWRs have penetrations in the RPV lower heads for in-core nuclear instrumentation. These generally are made of nickel-based Inconel Alloy 600. Weld materials typically 82/182. Operating conditions PWR plants causing alloys cracking through a process called primary water stress corrosion (PWSCC). In 2003, licensee South Texas Project Unit 1 (STP-1) identified apparent boron deposits on head near two bottom mounted nozzles (BMNs). The NRC issued Bulletin 2003-02 to obtain information inspection activities and plans head. EPRI MRP-206 report that provides evaluation guidelines BMNs plants, including periodic bare metal visual examination evidence coolant leakage, or non-visual nondestructive examinations indications service-induced cracking. inspections (ultrasonic testing examination) may detect degradation before through-wall cracking, circumferential below J-groove weld, release loose parts, incipient boric acid wastage low-alloy steel reactor vessel material occurs. Therefore, will adequately manage potential by PWSCC preserve structural integrity. INETEC developed TARGET system inspection, consisted submersible ROV specially designed probe, composed several UT probes. technique detect, length depth size BMN volume is developed. NDE Center performed technical review validated INETEC’s ultrasonic BMNs. Aforementioned validation was done according requirements defined by: 1) MRP-206, 2) MRP-411.

Development of Inspection System for Wooden Chopsticks
Our aim is to development of the inspection system of wooden chopsticks, and in this paper, we develop the prototype for high-class disposable wooden chopsticks by computer vision technology. We propose a method of inspecting the four items of fine grain sample, coarse grain sample, unpeeled sample, and defective sample. Moreover, we addressed not only the proposal of the algorithm but developm...
متن کاملDevelopment of combined deburring and inspection system
Automation is a step beyond mechanisation, to increase productivity and to improve the quality. Automated manufacturing systems operate in the factory on the physical product to perform operations such as processing, assembly, inspection, or material handling and sometimes accomplishing more than one of these operations in the same system. One of the strategies for the automation is combination...
متن کاملState Estimation and Localization for ROV-Based Reactor Pressure Vessel Inspection
Nuclear reactors require periodic maintenance and inspection to ensure continued and safe operations, and automation of inspection tasks through robotics can minimize the duration of reactor inspection outages in a safe and costeffective manner. State-of-the-art reactor pressure vessel inspection leverages remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), which are teleoperated, submersible robots. In order t...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Vision System for Ship Hull Inspection
This work introduces a strategy to improve the performance of visual ship hull inspection using a Remotely-Operated Vehicle (ROV) as its underwater vehicle platform. The proposed method is aimed at developing a system that will maintain the camera viewing angle parallel to the ship hull surface. This system consists of four main units, namely, camera, laser pointers, pan-tilt platform and Carte...
متن کاملDevelopment of Defect Inspection System for PDP ITO Patterned Glass
The formation degree of sustain (ITO pattern) determines the quality of a PDP (Plasma Display Panel). Thus, in the present study, we attempt to detect 100% of the defects that are larger than 30μm. Currently, the inspection method in the PDP manufacturing process is dependent upon the naked eye or a microscope in off-line mode. In this study, a prototype inspection system for PDP ITO patterned ...
